Mostyn hotel

4 Bryanston Street, Marble Arch, London W1H 8DE

Our Review

Mostyn hotel continues to be one of our popular options in London. Though not huge, the rooms are stylish and well equipped, as are the public areas. The only slight drawback may be that the windows aren’t double glazed, since this is a listed building.

Originally built as a private residence for Lady Black, lady in waiting to the court of George II, the Mostyn Hotel is a unique period property with an attractive red brick facade. A lot of original architectural details have been retained, especially the magnificent ornate ceilings in the restaurant and conference rooms by John Adam. The medium sized lobby is appointed in a traditional style with a marble floor.
Varying in size from small to medium, the 121 guestrooms are decorated in rich red and pink tones, complemented by traditional furniture. All are clean and well maintained, as are the tiled en suite bathrooms, which contain thermostatic controlled power showers. As you would expect from a hotel of this standard, all bedrooms have complimentary wi-fi internet access, 32" LCD televisions and the usual array of hairdryer, tea/coffee facilities and air conditioning.
With 2 bars and 2 restaurants on site, the hotel is an oasis for food lovers. Voted the best newcomer by Hardens Restaurant Guide, the Michelin star restaurant Texture focuses on quality ingredients and an extensive wine list. The vibrant Fire & Spice Bar & Kitchen is less formal and offers guests a relaxing experience and a menu of simple seasonal dishes. A great place to chill with a cocktail.
The hotel offers guests the use of a small gym.
